Session Streaming & Recording Policy

Please be aware that the MPSA will utilize a streaming platform for virtual conference sessions.

By participating in this event, you are automatically authorizing the Midwest Political Science Association the right and permission to record video and audio. Further, you authorize the MPSA and its employees, agents, and assigns to use your photograph, voice, or other likeness for purposes related to the mission of the MPSA, including but not limited to publicity, marketing, websites, promotion of the MPSA and their various programs, and other electronic forms of media. Individuals who do not want their identities to be captured are solely responsible for turning off their camera, muting their microphone, and/or adjusting their screen name accordingly.

All sessions will be auto recorded and will be available immediately in the virtual conference platform. Sessions will remain available for conference participants to view thirty-days following the conference.

The MPSA will select some conference presentations (complete panel/paper sessions and undergraduate sessions) to remain available on the MPSA website after the conference. Within thirty days of the completion of the MPSA Annual Conference, the MPSA will email those presenters a link to their recorded conference sessions. They will have the opportunity to opt out of having their presentation posted.

Professional Development Roundtables will be recorded and uploaded to the MPSA website. Individuals who do not want their identities to be captured during these sessions are solely responsible for turning off their camera, muting their microphone, and/or adjusting their screen name accordingly.

Participants may not record or broadcast audio or video of any MPSA session.
