Celebrating MPSA Award Winners in 2020 and 2021

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 MPSA Annual Conference, we were not able to meet in-person to celebrate the outstanding research presented at the 2019 MPSA Annual Conference. This year, committees and award recipients were given the opportunity to provide award acceptances and commendations for notable career-stage accomplishments award-winning research. As we are also not able to be in-person for this year’s conference, the winners of the American Journal of Political Science Best Article Award and an acceptance video from the 2021 Herbert Simon Award winner are also featured below.

Tune in to the Herbert A. Simon Lecture on Friday, April 16, 5:20 to 6:50pm CDT: Applying Critical Race Theory to Public Administration Scholarship and Midwest Public Administration Meeting. The lecture will feature the 2021 Herbert Simon Award winner, Norma M. Riccucci, Board of Governors Distinguished Professor, Rutgers University, Newark.

Special note: conference chairs and discussants will be nominating outstanding research to be considered for a field, subfield, or career stage awards for the 2021 MPSA Virtual Conference! If you are a chair or discussant, you will receive more information on nominating awards for presentation at the 2022 MPSA Annual Conference, scheduled to be held in-person with a virtual option for those that wish to participate in the comfort of their own homes: Thursday, April 7–Sunday, April 10.
